Position title
Data Engineer Arnhem Contract
Description

As a data engineer, you will make an important contribution to the energy transition in the Netherlands. Together with enthusiastic colleagues, you will work from Arnhem with the latest technology to further expand and integrate tools for network architects. We do this by digitizing and automating processes as much as possible.

Responsibilities

energy transition is impossible without you as a data engineer

The electricity grid is becoming increasingly burdened, which is why alternative methods are being looked at to allocate the limited space, for example with congestion management. We are working with the scrum team Automatic Customer Integration HS & MS (AKI) to develop tooling that can be used by network architects to make customer integration analyses. In recent years, several tools and functionalities have been developed. Our next step is to facilitate a better user journey, integrate functionalities and seamlessly connect new developments such as congestion management. Our vision is that this will be from one new interface.
We are making the energy grid of the future for everyone, with everyone. And as a data engineer, you contribute to this. Here's how you're doing:

  • setting up processes in an optimized and manageable way;
  • retrieving the right data in the right way, and then processing it and making it available as a data product;
  • building projects from the ground up by creating data models and looking for solutions that really help our end users;
  • act as a sparring partner within the team, both for software engineers and front-end developers.
Qualifications
  • With a completed HBO or WO education, preferably related to the field;
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Able to analyze (data) processes and create designs (with a solution architect);
  • Experience with data analysis, data modeling, data integration and data cleaning;
  • Experience with Postgres (OLTP) and postgresSQL, AWS & CDK (Fargate, AWS Batch/Lambda) and programming in Python and developing APIs.
  • Good Dutch language skills (B1 level).
